Soroti, Uganda – The Soroti Grade One Magistrate’s Court has once again adjourned the mention of the case involving the brutal murder of five-year-old Joan Faith Apio, whose lifeless body was discovered inside a staff latrine at Jozan Nursery and Primary School.
For the second time, the accused appeared before the court via Zoom, following their initial remand on March 6, 2025.
However, during today’s session, the State Attorney requested additional time to allow for ongoing investigations.
In response, His Worship Kibirige Apollo Kasujja set April 3, 2025, as the new date for the next mention.
The tragic incident that sparked this case unfolded on February 5, 2025, just two days after the child and her twin sister joined the school’s boarding section.
