The territorial police in Apac District have detained a 15-year-old juvenile for allegedly killing his father following a dispute that arose between them.
Omara Ronald, 15 years old, a resident of Otucoluk Village, Aketo Parish, Ibuje Sub-county in Apac District, was arrested following the January 3rd, 2024 attack he did on his father Mr. Aliro Charles 52 years, around 20:50 hours.
One of the eye witnesses said Omara is a student studying in Kampala and stays with Ogwal Charles but was brought home to visit his parents during the festive season. Unfortunately, he went into an argument with his father, thus rising Omara’s temper, where he hit his father from the head, resulting in collapse but later died.

According to Mr. Ogwal Charles one of the immediate neighbour to the deceased family on receipt of the information hurriedly rushed to the scene to pick the body were he later conveyed it to Apac General Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem and then handed the suspect to police for further investigation.
SP Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Region Police Spokesperson, has confirmed to the press that statements have been recorded at Ibuje Police station, and the scene has been visited by police.
