The Renowned Former Oyam South Legislator Hissa Otto wants Uganda stripped off her hosting rights.
While speaking on one of the Lira based stations today’smorning, Otto said that they have written a letter to the AFCON Management expressing concerns about Uganda co-hosting AFCON 2027.

Otto further revealed that they are seeking some clarifications from CAF and proposed that Uganda should be removed from hosting AFCON 2027.
Otto further cites: “Lack of preparedness, Regional imbalance in sport’s infrastructural development, and Deception in Uganda’s bid as it fronted Akii Bua Memorial Stadium in Lira City.”
Akii Bua Stadium has been dropped from hosting the hugely anticipated All African Tournament.

Akii Bua Stadium was named after John Akii Bua, the Ugandan hurdler who worn the first Olympic gold medal for Uganda in Munich, 1972 400m hurdles. Akii Bua was born on 3rd December 1949 in Lira and died on 20th June 1997, aged 47 years from Kampala.
