One Caroline Apiny 33, a resident of Ireda Agali Cell – Lira City East Division, was arrested on Wednesday by police from Lira City Central Police Station for allegedly defiling a 14 year old boy.
Omech Isaac 55, the minor’s father, reported the purpoted crime that was committed to the police on Sunday, 29th October, 2023, in an incomplete building in the neighbourhood.

According to sources, Apiny told the minor to have sex with her after removing her knickers and pushed the victim’s penis into her vagina.
According to the North Kyoga Region Police Spokesperson, Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed the incident and said detectives visited the scene and made a documentary.
Okema said statements were also recorded from the victim’s father and witnesses. Caroline Apiny has been charged for aggravated defilement and is set to appear before court. The suspect is now under safe custody at Lira CPS.
This similar case was registered in 2018 at Lira High Court, where Harriet Atapar, a resident of Market Square Village, Lira District was imprisoned for five years by Justice Alex Mackey Ajiji after she was found guilty over the same matter.
