Lira City, Uganda – In a celebration of undiscovered beauty and rising talent, Timothy Ogwok Ogwok from Lira City has been named one of Uganda’s Top 20 Travel Writers.
His vibrant article showcasing the “Captivating Floating Island” dazzled both readers and judges, propelling him into the national spotlight.
Hailing from Angwet Angwet, in the Lira City East Division, Ogwok Ogwok has passionately chronicled the region’s unsung wonders through his blog, Lango Unveiled.
His dedication to elevating Northern Uganda’s tourism landscape has been unwavering, evident in his efforts to reveal the area’s striking natural landscapes, cultural heritage and warm hospitality to a global audience, inspire adventure-seekers to delve into the hidden treasures of this oft-overlooked region and demonstrate the limitless potential of Northern Uganda’s travel industry, particularly in the Lango region.

Ogwok Ogwok and his 19 fellow finalists will participate in a week-long writing challenge to determine the best six writers among them.
Regardless of the outcome, all 20 participants will be rewarded for their exceptional efforts.
