Shock and grief have engulfed residents of Omugo sub county in Terego district when a devoted Arsenal fan collapsed and died in the evening hours of 22/10/2023 while celebrating his team’s equalizer against Chelsea in the English Premier League clash.
A reported Arsenal fan in Omugo, Terego district, only identified as Fostine Androdribo died during the club’s entertaining 2-2 draw with Chelsea.
The man succumbed to pressure and perished at 84th minute as the two sides settled for a point at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
According to Philliam Jabo, a neighbour to the deceased and chairperson of Omugosub county explains that Androdribo collapsed from Galaxy Video Hall in Komendako Trading Centre where he was watching the game from but several efforts were made by his colleagues to rush him for medical attention at Omugo Health IV and Androdribo was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile according to William Drabo, a brother to the deceased stated that his brother had no past medical condition and had been employed as a security guard in Kampala and had travelled to the village just a week ago to attend the burial of one of their relatives.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed to the relatives who declined to subject to post mortem examination report.
Early last month, another Arsenal supporter in Sheema District identified as Jackson Aineruhanga, was allegedly stabbed to death by a Manchester United fan following Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over his team.
