Lira, Uganda – Ogwal Benard, also known as Atin Acan, an aspiring Member of Parliament for Erute North Constituency, is winning hearts through his transformative initiatives aimed at uplifting the lives of women, youths and students.
His support spans across four sub-counties of Aromo, Agweng, Ogur and Ayami -demonstrating his dedication to the people of Erute North.
Among his notable contributions includes: Sponsoring vocational training for 60 single mothers, enabling them to gain valuable skills and support their families, facilitating vocational training and income-generating opportunities for 60 youths in bodaboda and chapati businesses, providing 300 bursaries for students in Erute North, promoting access to education and personal growth and registering women’s groups for a Women’s Sacco, promising a start-up fund of UGX 20 million.
One beneficiary, Akello Oliver from Aromo, expressed her gratitude to Ogwal Benard for transforming her life by sponsoring her vocational studies.
Another local, Opio Aaron from Ayami, commended Ogwal Atin Acan for supporting his chapati business with capital, enhancing his livelihood.
Ogwal Benard is quickly emerging as a figure of hope and progress for the people of the constituency.
