Dokolo North, Uganda – In a move aimed at empowering farmers and boosting agricultural productivity, aspiring Member of Parliament for Dokolo North, Joseph Ogwal Omara, has announced plans to sponsor a group of farmers from the constituency on a tour of Western Uganda, specifically Bushenyi, to learn about the 4-Hectare Module system of agriculture.
The tour, which will be funded by Omara, will see a select group of farmers from Dokolo North travel to Bushenyi, a region renowned for its agricultural prowess, to learn from experienced farmers and experts in the field.
The 4-Hectare Module system, a farming model that involves cultivating a specific crop on a four-hectare piece of land, has been hailed as a game-changer in agricultural development, with the potential to increase yields and improve farm management.
Omara’s initiative is part of his campaign manifesto, which prioritizes support for farmers, improvement of healthcare services, and promotion of education in Dokolo North.
