George Abdul Prioritizes Maternal Health with Donations to Pregnant Mothers in Barr Sub-County

Lira, Uganda – George Abdul, an MP aspirant for Erute South Constituency, has taken a bold step toward improving maternal health in his community by supporting 300 pregnant mothers with essential supplies.

The distribution event, held on Wednesday, featured the provision of Mama Kits, basins, soaps and smearing jelly to expectant mothers as part of his grassroots campaign to enhance health services in rural areas.

Speaking at the gathering, Abdul emphasized the importance of maternal health in driving community progress.

The initiative aligns with Abdul’s broader focus on improving healthcare access and addressing challenges faced by rural women during pregnancy.

He praised the achievements of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government, led by President Yoweri Museveni, in advancing healthcare and wealth creation programs.

Abdul called on the beneficiaries to recognize the government’s efforts and ensure continuity of leadership.

The beneficiaries welcomed the support with gratitude, citing the challenges they face in accessing basic maternal health supplies.

Abdul also called for a collective effort to prioritize maternal and child health.

He encouraged the community to use government programs aimed at poverty eradication and economic empowerment.

George Abdul’s donation underscores his commitment to serving his constituents and highlights his vision for a healthier and empowered Erute South, placing women and children at the center of community transformation.
