Oyam, Uganda – Oyam District Speaker and Kamdini Sub-County Councilor Hon. Nommy Otyeno has dismissed allegations surrounding his bid for Oyam South Member of Parliament, vowing to stay the course regardless of challenges.

In a passionate statement, Otyeno debunked claims that he accepted UGX 150 million to step aside, was advised by President Museveni to run for LC V, or had left the NRM due to internal competition.

“These allegations are baseless and meant to mislead the public. I remain focused and committed to my aspiration under the NRM,” Otyeno declared.

Known for his exemplary leadership since his youth, Otyeno reiterated that his decision to run was rooted in extensive public consultation dating back to 2023.

He emphasized that he remains in high gear to contest and win the Oyam South MP seat, promising to bring fresh and transformative leadership to the constituency.

Otyeno urged voters to focus on shared values and priorities for the future of Oyam South.

He reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the real issues affecting the community, such as education, health and economic empowerment, and called for support to bring meaningful change.
