The deceased has been identified as Alwido Rose, a housewife and peasant farmer.
Police preliminary findings indicate that earlier in the day at around 11:00am, she reportedly received phone calls from her former husband, with whom she was allegedly discussing the possibility of reuniting.
According to police, this development angered her current husband, Opio Denis, 44, also a peasant farmer and resident of the same village.
Okema stated that it was alleged that at around 10:00pm, a domestic quarrel broke out between the couple over the phone calls, which escalated into a physical fight.
