Maj. Robert Okello Takes Over as New Lango RISO

Lira, Uganda | ‎Lango sub region has received a New Regional Internal Security Officer (RISO) in the name of Maj.Robert Okello.

‎Maj. Okello took over the regional security intelligence headship from Capt. David Drici, who has had his service transferred to Gulu, where he will be serving as a RISO for the Acholi subregion.

‎Maj. Okello who previously served as the first City Internal Security Officer (CISO) of Lira, took over the office during the official handover held at the (RISO) offices on Tuesday evening.

‎The highly celebrated intelligence and security expert Okello, is transferring is service from Kampala Metropolitant East region, where he served for a RISO for over three years after his transfer from Lira City on promotion.

‎Maj. Okello’s deployment to Lango has brought hope for a renewed energy in upholding the professionalism and safeguard of the security image not only in Lira but Lango sub region.

‎Major Okello, the newly appointed Regional Internal Security Officer (RISO) for the Lango sub-region, has pledged to
‎foster Professionalism with aim of enhancing the standard of security operations across the Lango sub-region.

‎He also promises to strengthen the image of the Security Image and safeguard the reputation of the security forces by ensuring they operate with integrity,
‎collaborate with Stakeholders and working closely with local leaders and the community to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for social and economic transformation.

‎He intends to bring the same proactive approach he used during his three-year tenure in Kampala Metropolitan East and his previous role as Lira’s first City Internal Security Officer (CISO).
