Lira City, Uganda – Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, Woman MP Lira City and Minister of Health, today at LPC church to expressed her gratitude to God and celebrated the accomplishments in supporting various groups within Lira City.

Since taking office, Aceng Ocero has successfully disbursed a total of over 500 million Ugx to numerous groups, fostering development and empowering the local community.

During a press briefing, Aceng Ocero detailed the funds’ allocation, emphasizing transparency and the constituency’s right to know how their money is being utilized.

She has supported 880 groups, each receiving 500,000 Ugx, and has also offered financial assistance to individuals without group affiliations. This substantial investment, drawn from her salary and the Constituency Development Fund, highlights her dedication to the people of Lira City and their progress.

Aceng Ocero urged recipients to invest the funds wisely in projects that contribute to further growth and development, ensuring that the impact of her contributions is felt throughout the community.

As a champion for the people of Lira City, she expressed her commitment to their betterment and emphasized the importance of educating locals about government programs such as Emyoga and Parish Development Model, which can play a pivotal role in eradicating poverty.

Pledging to collaborate with Lira City Council authorities, Aceng Ocero aims to ensure that more people benefit from these valuable resources.

By working together to raise awareness, she believes that the people of Lira City can make a meaningful difference in the fight against poverty and create lasting, positive change for future generations.
