Lira, Uganda | Hon. Angwech Pamella Engola has officially declared her candidacy for Secretary for Finance, Youth League 2025-2030 – Lira City East Division, under the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
With the campaign slogan “Chain for Development,” Angwech is positioning herself as a visionary leader committed to financial transparency, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
She emphasized that her vision is rooted in creating a functional, accountable, and opportunity-driven Youth League.
She stated that her ambition is not merely to manage resources but to unlock opportunities for every young person in the division.
Angwech’s manifesto is anchored on four strategic pillars:
1. Transparency and Accountability – She pledged to implement clear financial reporting, regular audits, and budget openness across all youth projects.
2. Financial Literacy and Capacity Building – She revealed plans to roll out regular trainings on budgeting, saving, digital finance, and access to government programs like PDM and Emyooga.
3. Youth-Led Project Support – She intends to create a Youth Financial Support Hub that will link youth groups to funding, mentorship, and project incubation opportunities.
4. Digital Transformation – To improve service delivery, she said she would introduce tech-driven systems for tracking, reporting, and youth engagement.
A daughter of the Lango sub-region and an expert in finance and entrepreneurship, Angwech is known for championing women and youth initiatives.
She previously led a successful Youth Livelihood Program (YLP) drive that empowered many youth to utilize government poverty eradication programs.
Running on the NRM platform, she expressed her commitment to upholding the party’s pillars of socio-economic transformation and youth inclusion.
She noted that the Youth League must become a powerhouse for Uganda’s next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
Her candidacy is already drawing strong support from boda boda associations, women groups, SACCO leaders, business community, and youth entrepreneurs across Lira City East.
Youth mobilizer Chris Ocen remarked that Angwech was the kind of leader needed in the community—someone who is bold, accountable, and ready to deliver.
With energy, focus, and a people-first mindset, Hon. Angwech Pamella Engola is calling on all youth voters to rally behind her for a united and financially empowered future.
