LIRA:

In a bid to empower underprivileged students in Erute North, Ogwal Benard, popularly known as “Atin Acan,” has embarked on a significant initiative to secure scholarships for tertiary and secondary education. With approximately 100 scholarships in the pipeline, Atin Acan aims to provide educational opportunities to bright but financially constrained students in the region.

Atin Acan plans to distribute these scholarships evenly across the four sub-counties of Erute North: Ogur, Agweng, Aromo, and Ayami. Each sub-county will receive 25 scholarships, ensuring equitable access to educational support across the region.

The scholarships are intended for two categories of students: the best performing students and those facing financial hardships. By targeting these groups, Atin Acan aims to recognize academic excellence while also addressing the financial barriers that hinder many students from accessing quality education.

The funding for these scholarships comes from generous contributions from well-wishers and friends in the United Kingdom. This demonstrates the power of global collaboration in supporting local initiatives aimed at educational empowerment.

The initiative is scheduled to commence at the beginning of the upcoming academic term. Communication regarding the scholarships will be conveyed to the relevant stakeholders at the sub-county level, ensuring transparency and accountability in the selection process.

Atin Acan’s scholarship initiative seeks to alleviate the financial burden on underprivileged students, allowing them to focus on their studies without worrying about school fees. By providing opportunities for talented individuals facing financial difficulties, the initiative aims to enable access to quality education at both tertiary and secondary levels.

In my commendable passion towards fostering education and empowering the youth, I have proudly secured free scholarships for 100 promising students from the 4 sub-counties of Erute North, to pursue their education and dream courses in different institutions in Uganda,” proudly stated Atin Acan.

Atin Acan’s commitment to education and youth empowerment shines through his efforts to secure scholarships for underprivileged students in Erute North. By removing financial barriers and providing equal access to education, this initiative has the potential to transform the lives of numerous talented individuals in the region.
