Amolatar, Uganda – Local government Officials storms Amolatar D.L.G, residents hails Felix Adupa Ongwech for being bold in the fight against corruption.

The commissioners from the office of the minister of local government on Tuesday and Wednesday pitched camp in Amolatar district, Lango Sub-region, causing Panic among local government Officials.
The teams were investigating allegations of abuse of office, misuse of public funds and corruption
Two weeks ago five district official were arrested and released on police Bond to record the statement.
The suspects were district C.A.O, Internal auditor, District Engineer, Dick Ongom, a district water Pump mechanic currently serving as Force on Account manager for roads, Samuel Otima, a sub accountant in the engineering department and Fred Ogwang who allegedly posed as a district clerk of works without proper appointment by the district service commissioner.
They were arrested by the police following complaints from some anti – corruption activists who alleged that funds for district roads projects undertaken in the fiscal years 2022 /2023 and 2023 /2024 were embezzled.
Amolatar district local government has been under scrutiny for three weeks following Adupa’s exposure of corruption in the works department, particular regarding the poor condition of roads despite government funding.
During a field visit to monitor district government projects in Amolatar district officials from the Ministry of Local government on Tuesday and Wednesday visited Olyaka Primary school, Nabweyo P/s, Biko health center III, Abako Adwong – Gogjwe landing site road, Abarler SDA SS, Nakatiti health center III and Nalubwoyo.
To draw the attention of the officials from the Ministry of Local Government
While inspecting the maternity ward at Acii Health center III ,the team led by Felix Adupa Ongwech encountered a distressing incident when the group of alleged procured individuals by some of the Amolatar district perpetrators attacks them and assaulted Felix Adupa Ongwech.
According to the reliable source obtained by Dokolo post, they accused Adupa of instigating a campaign corruption among district officials.
Speaking to Dokolo post shortly after the incident in an exclusive interview Felix Adupa Ongwech , said that this is the second attempt on his life by the suspected corrupt leaders and officials in Amolatar.

Despites these Challenges, Adupa urged the public to remain vigilant and report any instances of corruption or misuse of public funds in government projects within their community.
Tindirisa Sylvia, Assistant commissioner in the Ministry of Local Government urged the Amolatar district leadership to unite and always desist from politicking government programs and development.
She asked them to shun politic of lies, hatred, darkness and propaganda.
Mr. Magambo Willy,Senior Inspector of Local Government asked the Mps in Amolatar district to always lobby for more development to their constituents rather than fighting for government projects.
