Kampala, Uganda | Joseph Jones Ogwal Omara has been officially nominated to contest in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries for the Member of Parliament seat in Dokolo North County.
Speaking to the press shortly after his nomination at the NRM headquarters in Kampala, Ogwal expressed gratitude to God for enabling him to reach this stage of the electoral process.
He described the clearance by the NRM Electoral Commission as a significant step forward in his political journey, noting that all the documents he submitted were verified and confirmed to be in order.
Ogwal said the successful nomination now gives him the green light to participate in the party primaries scheduled for next month.
He expressed confidence in his chances, stating that the journey to represent the people of Dokolo North has officially begun and that he believes victory is within reach.
He outlined his campaign foundation built on six key pillars and 22 action points, some of which he has already started implementing.
Ogwal emphasized that, if entrusted with the MP position, he will ensure that all the action points are fulfilled.
He noted that when he returns to seek a second term, he intends to present the electorate with a report of full accountability.
