Lira, Uganda – Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) of Apac District, Jonal Okot, had his newly acquired Subaru Trezia (2011 model), registration number UBR 913Z, blessed today, 12th January 2025, by Parish Priest Fr. Emmanuel Opio.
The blessing took place shortly after the first mass at Uganda Martyrs Cathedral, Lira City.
During the blessing, Fr. Opio advised Okot to keep his trust in God, assuring him that even greater things are in store.
He praised Okot for his commitment to public service and encouraged him to stay humble, dedicated and prayerful.
Okot’s car has since become a topic of public speculation, with rumors spreading about its origin.
Some sources claim that it was a gift from Senior Presidential Advisor Sam Engola, others suggest it came from Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, while some point to Minister of the Presidency Milly Babalanda.
Despite the speculation, Okot has refrained from commenting on the matter, focusing instead on serving the people of Apac District.
In his final remarks, Okot expressed gratitude to key leaders who have supported him in his leadership journey.
He thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Minister of the Presidency Milly Babalanda, Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua, Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, Senior Presidential Advisor Sam Engola and Senior Commissioner RDC of Otuke George Abudul.
Okot concluded by praying for God’s blessings upon them and reaffirming his dedication to public service.
