Lira, Uganda – King James Comprehensive School Lira has set a remarkable record in its first sitting under the new curriculum.

All 156 students who sat for the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams passed with Result 1, marking an impressive 100% success rate.

Speaking to journalists, the school’s Director, Dickson Odongo, commended the teachers for their dedication, the students for their commitment and the parents for their continuous support.

“This milestone is the result of teamwork and determination. Our teachers adapted well to the new curriculum, the students remained focused and parents gave invaluable support throughout the journey,” Odongo remarked.

Out of 159 registered candidates, only three students were absent and did not sit for the exams.

Despite this, the school maintained a flawless success rate for all who participated.

One parent, Akello Agness, praised the school for its dedication to academic excellence.

“We are grateful to King James Comprehensive for giving us quality results. The school has exceeded our expectations,” she said.

Odongo affirmed the school’s commitment to sustaining and surpassing this level of excellence as they continue to navigate the new curriculum framework.

King James Comprehensive School Lira’s achievement is a beacon of hope and inspiration for other institutions adapting to Uganda’s evolving education landscape.
