Serere, Uganda – The Woman Member of Parliament for Serere Hellen Adoa ,who also serves as State Minister of Fisheries, has re-echoed her unwavering support for the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Adoa who is hopeful to retain her seat in 2026 election under the NRM Party ticket, will face-off with several candidates who are looking to fully represent Serere .
Minister Adoa promised to be accountable to the people, committed to serving above and beyond herself through lobbying and uniting the people of Serere district towards development,
Adoa, who is still a very active member of the party, says she will abide by the NRM Constitution and principles and also focuses on development .
“ Our principles as the NRM are patriotism, social-economic transformation, democracy and unity. These are the ideals we live by. I have confidence in the NRM party systems, and I adhere to the rules and regulations that govern the party members. I do not intend to go against my party. ”
On declaring her unwavering support for the NRM and the party chairman, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Minister Hellen Adoa committed to continue working with the party to ensure prosperity, and more success in Serere.
“We are going back to focus on what counts – livelihoods of our people, income generating projects, making sure that service delivery is happening and traversing the area for more support,” Adoa said.
Adoa also called upon party members to avoid chaos and work on uniting everyone at the party.
“I think we as NRM representatives need to organize ourselves and not create problems for the party and the President. Our people have realized that the NRM systems work and that the President does listen to their cries and acts upon them,”She said.
She committed that she would be on the campaign trail campaigning actively for President Museveni’s re-election and all NRM flag bearers in the upcoming 2026 National Elections.
At the core of her politics is her interest to effectively represent the common man, defend and protect N. R. M party interest and values, Improve the grassroot Mobilization of party members, Popularize N.R.M Manifesto, government poverty reduction strategy, wealth creation and amplify Chairman’s Initiative for Inclusive responsive and transparent government and lobby for more development and better Northern Uganda.
She added that her major focus and priorities if voted also will include, improved health care system, extension of clean safe water and improving the road network, encouraging people to join government poverty alleviation program such as P.D.M ,Y.L.P and many others.
