Oyam, Uganda | Ngai and Abok sub-counties have sworn in their new leaders, pledging corruption-free governance and echoing President Museveni’s call of “Kisanja: no sleep, no corruption.”

In Ngai, LC3 Chairperson Jimmy Anywar Alira, who retained his seat, promised unity, development, and timely service delivery. Sub-county Speaker Ambrose Oryang added that the 12th council has “dived in with all weapons of administration” to succeed in its mission.
In Abok, newly elected LC3 Chairperson Moses Oboke vowed transparent leadership and inclusive growth. Sub-county Speaker Opio Anthony reinforced the pledge, urging councillors to embrace accountability and teamwork.
District councillors Hon. Walter Atoo, Hon. Auma Beatrice Okello, and Hon. Winny Alok graced the ceremonies, calling for unity across political lines and warning against divisions that could stall development.
From the community, Richard Odong of Ngai appealed to leaders to stay “watchful and open-eared” to the electorate and avoid serving individual interests.
With vows of sleepless dedication and corruption-free service, Hon. Ambrose Ocira, the chairperson works, technical and production for Ngai Subcounty face the challenge of turning promises into real progress for his people.
