Kampala, Uganda | The Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Team has commended the Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, for his strategic coordination and institutional leadership during the ongoing NRM Parliamentary Retreat at the National Leadership Institute (NALI), Kyankwanzi.
In a statement of appreciation, Col (Rtd) Dr. Francis Ongia, Senior Liaison Officer at Uganda Development Corporation (UDC), noted that the Secretariat’s guidance was instrumental in ensuring effective preparation, alignment, and participation of the OWC delegation in the high-level national engagement.
The team observed that the structured facilitation provided by the NRM Secretariat enhanced coherence in presentation and strengthened engagement on key national development priorities.
OWC further acknowledged its contribution to discussions under the theme “Harnessing Synergies & Institutional Linkages Towards 10-Fold Growth,” describing the retreat as a critical platform for advancing policy alignment and institutional collaboration.
The statement also reaffirmed commitment to the OWC strategic agenda under Chief Coordinator Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho, particularly the Land Use Balance Sheet framework aimed at improving agricultural productivity and supporting agro-industrial transformation.
The team appreciated the NRM Secretariat and NALI for providing an enabling environment for policy reflection, research engagement, and ideological consolidation in line with the Movement’s socio-economic transformation agenda.
They further expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his continued leadership in fostering platforms for national planning, coordination, and development dialogue.
OWC also recognized Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho for the trust placed in the team to represent the institution at the retreat, and concluded by commending Rt. Hon. Todwong for his stewardship, institutional discipline, and commitment to strengthening coordination within the Movement.
