Ugandan Government Invests Heavily in First-Ever Ateker Reunion Festival

Soroti, Uganda – The Ugandan government has made a substantial financial commitment to support the inaugural Ateker Reunion Festival, scheduled to take place in Soroti City.

With a budget of UGX 2.3 billion, the festival aims to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Iteso people, while also promoting unity and fostering discussions on key regional issues.

The Ateker Reunion Festival will gather members of the Ateker community from Uganda and neighboring countries, offering a platform for attendees to reconnect with their cultural roots and engage in meaningful dialogue.

The festival’s agenda includes a focus on the preservation of Iteso cultural heritage and the promotion of unity among the Ateker people.
