All Saints Church of Uganda Obanga Pe Wany Vicar Rev. Jacky Milton Otoo Olima is seeking Shs. 180 million to complete church roofing.
To raise the funds, the Church has organised a fundraising event to take place on the 24 September 2023 beginning at midday at the church premises in Obanga Pe Wany Lira City.
“The main objective is to raise Shs. 180 million for roofing church building and the new extension made,” Vicar Otoo Olima explained.
Minister of State for Northern Uganda, Grace Freedom Kwicuny is expected to grace the occasion.
Addressing journalists at his office in All Saints Church of Uganda Obanga Pe Wany, Vicar Otoo Olima revealed that completion of all works and installations is anticipated by the end of 2025 as they wait for Lango Diocese golden jubilee celebrations in 2026.
“As we gear up to complete God’s Sanctuary, I want to appeal to all God’s children, men and women of God, to come and join us in raising resources for the completion of the church,” Vicar Otoo Olima said.
Peace Bridget Apio, the chairperson organising committee for the fundraising event, expressed her gratitude to the Diocese for entrusting the youth with church positions.
All Saints Church of Uganda Obanga Pe Wany is among 11 churches under Lango Diocese to be reconstructed in preparation to celebrate Lango Diocese golden jubilee in 2026.
