Dara Christian High School Headteacher Mr. Ayo Edward Dies At Mulago National Referral Hospital

Lira, Uganda – Dara Christian High School has been plunged into mourning following the untimely death of their esteemed Headteacher, Mr. Ayo Edward, who passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at around 5 PM at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

In an official death announcement issued on Sunday March 2, 2025, and signed by the Management of Dara Christian High School, the Board of Directors, the Board of Governors, the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), and the school’s staff expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their leader.

Mr. Ayo Edward was a well-respected educationist who had dedicated his life to shaping the future of students and advancing the academic excellence of Dara Christian High School.

Under his leadership, the school gained recognition for its high academic performance, discipline, and commitment to Christian values.

His passing is a huge loss not only to the school but also to the wider education fraternity, including the National Association of Secondary School Headteachers – Lango Sub-region, where he played an active role.

The news of his death has sent shockwaves across the Ngetta community, where the school is located, and beyond.

The school’s management has formally informed parents, students, members of the Dara Old Students’ Association, the staff of Truth Primary School, Victory Outreach Ministries, and other partners who had close ties with the late headteacher.

Friends, relatives, and colleagues in the education sector have also expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the school fraternity.

As the community mourns this tragic loss, the school’s management has assured the public that burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
