Dokolo, Uganda – Dokolo North MP aspirant Joseph Jones Ogwal has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting community development and faith-based initiatives during a fundraising event at Aderolongo Christian Grace Ministry Church in Bata Town Council.
While addressing the congregation on the 2nd March, 2025, Ogwal emphasized the importance of fundraising in fostering church growth, citing examples from central Uganda where people contribute generously to such causes.
“Fundraising is crucial for church development. In many areas of central Uganda, people donate generously, and I believe we can do the same here to strengthen our places of worship,” Ogwal said.
He highlighted that his participation in the event was driven by a calling to serve God and support His work.
To aid in the church’s construction, Ogwal donated 10 bags of cement worth 350,000 shillings to kick-start the foundation work.
Additionally, he pledged 500,000 shillings to cover the wages of masons who will be involved in building the church.
Beyond his immediate contributions, Ogwal promised to continue supporting the church with future development projects, reinforcing his vision to uplift communities in Dokolo North.
“My vision is to drive meaningful development across Dokolo North, something the current MP, Moses Ogwal Goli, has failed to deliver,” he stated, drawing cheers from the congregation.
The event also attracted other political figures, including another Dokolo North MP aspirant, Ogwal Kasmiri, who joined the community in supporting the church’s cause.
Joseph Jones Ogwal’s consistent engagement with local communities and his focus on tangible support continue to strengthen his position as a formidable contender in the 2026 parliamentary race.
