Kenya – As political chaos continues to grip Kenya in the wake of Parliament’s recent invasion by protesters, Nyaribari Masaba MP and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) member Daniel Manduku has issued a bold call for action.

In response to widespread discontent surrounding the controversial Finance Bill, 2024, Manduku demands that President Ruto dissolve Parliament and initiate fresh elections within 90 days.
He insists that a dissolution is warranted under Article 261(7) of the Kenyan Constitution, which allows for the President to take such action if Parliament fails to fulfill its constitutional mandate.
To restore public confidence and ensure effective governance, Manduku is also advocating for the reconstitution of President Ruto’s cabinet.
He maintains that international oversight and support from bodies like the African Union, East African Community, or United Nations is necessary to hold successful snap polls in the absence of an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
