Green Valley’s Top PLE Performers Set to Inspire Next Generation in Amolatar

Amolatar, Uganda | The 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results from Green Valley Nursery and Boarding Primary School have highlighted not only academic excellence but also the emergence of young role models poised to shape the future of Amolatar District.

All 51 candidates passed, with 16 achieving Division One and 35 securing Division Two.

The cohort included 24 boys and 27 girls, underscoring a balanced performance across genders.

During a thanksgiving ceremony, the newly elected Amolatar District LC5 Chairperson, Morish Ogwal Omara, encouraged pupils and parents to view top performers as sources of inspiration for younger students.

“These learners demonstrate that with hard work, discipline, and support, success is achievable. They can serve as role models for their peers and the community,” Mr Ogwal said.

The ceremony, which also featured a sermon by Fr Moses Edyomu of Amolatar Catholic Parish, emphasised character, moral responsibility, and community service alongside academic achievement.

Managing Director Maxwell Ongom noted that the school deliberately celebrates high achievers to motivate all learners.

“When students see what is possible through dedication, it elevates the performance of the entire school,” he said.

Head teacher Katagala Jackson said that top-performing pupils like Katusabe Teddy, Namugaza Mercy, Nyangimeso Deearcious, Nyero Francis, and Obongi Lawrence have demonstrated qualities that go beyond academics, including leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

The school’s Director of Studies, Pule Qinto, added that mentorship programs link top students with younger classes to encourage a culture of aspiration and goal-setting.

Education stakeholders, including USAID Early Grade Reading facilitator Katambala Kadiri, praised the initiative, noting that nurturing role models among learners contributes to long-term community development and a culture of academic excellence.

Green Valley Nursery and Boarding Primary School’s results and emphasis on leadership development underline the role of schools in preparing not only academically competent pupils but also future leaders who can inspire positive change in their communities.
