Gulu University Opens Applications for Prestigious RUFORUM TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship to Empower Future Agricultural Leaders

Gulu, Uganda – The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) has officially opened applications for the TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship Program at Gulu University.

The scholarship, under Call ID RU/2025GuluUniv./TAGDEV2.0, provides funding opportunities for academically gifted yet financially disadvantaged students pursuing agricultural and related fields.

With Uganda’s growing demand for skilled professionals in agriculture and agribusiness, the Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev) 2.0 initiative seeks to empower young scholars with the necessary education, training, and mentorship to drive innovation and development.

Prospective applicants must register and apply online through the RUFORUM Integrated Management System (RIMS) portal by following these steps:

1. Access the Application Portal
• Visit https://rims2.ruforum.org/.
• Click on “Register Here” to create an account.

2. Account Activation
• After registering, an activation email will be sent to the applicant’s email address.
• If not found in the inbox, candidates are advised to check their spam or junk folder.

3. Login and Dashboard Access
• Use the registered email and password to log in.
• Upon successful login, the Applicant Dashboard will be displayed.

4. Finding the Scholarship Call
• Navigate to Calls → Scholarship Calls.
• Select Call ID: RU/2025GuluUniv./TAGDEV2.0.
• Click Apply to begin the application process.

5. Filling the Application Form
• Applicants should carefully complete all sections of the form.
• It is recommended to save progress regularly by clicking “Save Draft.”

6. Finalizing and Submitting the Application
• After completing the form, applicants must download, print, and submit a copy along with their application for admission to Gulu University.
• The documents can be submitted either as a hard copy or uploaded to the university’s online portal.

The RUFORUM TAGDev 2.0 scholarship is part of a broader effort to address food security, youth unemployment, and economic transformation in Uganda and across Africa.
