Apac, Uganda – Hon. Susan Achola Engola, known as the “poverty shooter” and a champion for community development, has extended a heartfelt festive message to the people of Apac District.
“On this special occasion, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” Hon. Achola Engola said. “This season, let’s remember to share in the spirit of love and togetherness, especially with those who are often left out, like our brothers and sisters with disabilities.”
The aspiring legislator emphasized the importance of inclusion, noting that people with disabilities face numerous challenges but also shoulder responsibilities like paying school fees, feeding their families, and seeking healthcare.
“Disabled people deserve equality, love, and support just like anyone else,” she remarked.
Hon. Achola Engola also addressed school children, urging them to celebrate responsibly while keeping their education in focus.
“Enjoy this festive season, but remember that your education is key to a brighter future,” she advised. “If your future is derailed, rebuilding it can be very difficult.”
She further encouraged the youth to avoid negative behaviors that could jeopardize their potential.
“You are the future leaders of this country. It’s up to you to make a positive impact,” she said.
Her festive message serves as a call for unity, compassion and commitment to building a stronger community in Apac District.
Hon. Achola Engola’s words remind everyone of the power of love and support in creating lasting change.
“Let’s come together to uplift each other, especially the vulnerable, and make this season truly meaningful for all,” she concluded.
