The event, a highlight on the district’s calendar, marked a moment of reflection, celebration, and forward-looking resolve as 2024 drew to a close.

Presided over by the LCV Chairperson, Francis Abola, the gathering brought together a host of esteemed guests, including the Deputy and Assistant RDCs, district councillors, local government workers, and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and his Deputy & Assistant, among others.

In his address, Mr. Abola expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the gift of life and guidance throughout the year.

He praised the district officials and councillors for their commitment and resilience despite the challenges of 2024. Urging leaders to reflect on their actions, he emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in addressing setbacks.

“I encourage all of us to correct the mistakes we’ve made this year. Challenges were inevitable, but they are stepping stones for greater achievements. Let’s focus on building a stronger Otuke in 2025,” Abola remarked.

He also applauded the technical team led by the CAO for their tireless work and commended the local community for spearheading development initiatives in Otuke Town Council.

On a cautionary note, he advised elected leaders to shun jealousy and divisiveness, reiterating his commitment to ensuring peace and security during the festive season.

He concluded with warm wishes for a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
