He also referenced the theme for next year’s World Communications Day, “Share with gentleness the hope that is in your hearts,” encouraging the commissioners to reflect these values in their work.

Mr. Felix Dolly Ayo, chairperson of the Central Organizing Committee for the event, highlighted the financial challenges facing the communication department.

He emphasized the need for increased support to enhance the Diocese’s communication infrastructure and grassroots outreach.

In response, Fr. Isaac Ojok outlined plans to collaborate with the local business community for resource mobilization.

Fr. Lawrence Ogwang, Station Manager of Radio Wa, spoke about the critical role played by the Diocese’s media platforms, including Uganda Catholic Television, Radio Wa, and online content.

He emphasized that these platforms are essential for fostering peace, unity, and dialogue within the broader community.

The event culminated in a brief fundraising initiative, where over Shs 3 million was raised to support the Diocese’s communication efforts.

Lira Diocese aims to further enhance its media presence and communication outreach, promoting the values of the Catholic Church across the region.
