Kaberamido, Uganda – Ochero County MP Julius Emigu Olem has donated scholastic materials to six pupils who scored Division One in the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) in Ochero County, Kaberamaido District.

The donation, which took place over the weekend at his office in Ochero Town Council, included mattresses, books, pens, mathematical sets, pairs of bedsheets and UGX 20,000 for upkeep as the pupils prepare to join Senior One.Â
MP Emigu emphasized that he wanted to go beyond verbal appreciation and offer tangible support to the high-performing students.
As part of his efforts to enhance academic excellence in the county, he announced that he had procured an examination printer worth UGX 30 million and other equipment to support local schools in printing exam sets.Â

Meanwhile, Kaberamaido District’s Secretary for Health and Education, Hon. Damalie Ajibu, who also serves as the female representative for Ochero Town and Sub-county, attributed poor performance in some schools to the reluctance of certain parents to fulfill their responsibilities.Â
Elijah Emaku, the FDC Chairperson for Kaberamaido District, praised MP Emigu for his commitment to the community and encouraged residents of Ochero County to support him in the 2026 elections.Â
Some parents who spoke to Dokolo Post expressed gratitude for MP Emigu’s continued support, which they said has greatly benefited their children’s education.
Since 2021, the legislator has also procured a tipper lorry and tents to aid in service delivery and public gatherings in his constituency.
