Lira, Uganda – Ogwang Moses Obua has officially declared his candidacy for the position of Publicity Secretary for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party in Lira District for the upcoming 2025–2030 term.
Known for his strong leadership background and grassroots mobilization, Ogwang enters the race with a clear message: “Kop Ateni Ame Tye Iye Gen Icawa Ikokome.”
Ogwang Moses brings a wealth of experience in leadership and public engagement. He has served as a church leader, offering moral guidance and spiritual mentorship to the community.
His commitment to youth empowerment is evidenced through years of mentorship and skills development initiatives targeting young people across the district.
Additionally, he has been a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, supporting income-generating groups, savings circles, and female leadership.
Speaking to our reporter during his announcement, Ogwang said, “I have walked with the people. I understand the communication gaps within our party, and I am offering myself to fill that gap with discipline, clarity, and loyalty to the NRM ideology.”
His campaign promises focus on:
1. Enhancing NRM visibility across all sub-counties of Lira District.
2. Coordinating grassroots publicity efforts and strengthening mobilization structures.
3. Promoting government programs and showcasing NRM achievements through local media, meetings, and digital platforms.
4. Fostering unity and internal discipline among cadres.
Ogwang Moses Obua emphasized his loyalty to the core values of the NRM and pledged to be a transparent, strategic, and accessible communicator for the party.
