The territorial police in Amuru district has disqualified one candidate name with held over forgery of academic documents in the ongoing police recruitment.
Speaking to our reporter, the Amuru assistant Resident district commissioner Isaac Opio Opeo confirmed the incident that took place during the recruitment interview in Amuru district.
According to Opio, presenting forged documents is criminal and punishable by law as stipulated in the Ugandan counsitution and warned against such act.
He said the recruitment was free and fair since all those who were taken went on merit without any form of bribe as the government of NRM is struggling day and night to fight corruption
He also called upon the residents of Amuru to embrace the ongoing national Census and provide all the needed information to the enumerators as it will help the government in planing for its citizens. he also thanked president Yoweri Museveni for his support through projects like PDM, Emyooga, UWEP among others that has led to social-economic development of the country.
The exercise was graced by several leaders like Madam Hellen Nyakecsu Akello and Isaac Opio Opeo who represented their boss Steven Odongo Latek, DPC Phillips Mukasa, deputy RDC Proscovia Acam, David Ongom Mudong the Aswa river regional police spoke person and the recruitment team lead by assistant commissioner of police Emmanuel Nuwagaba.
