RDC George Abdul Urges Unity, Responsibility and Compassion in Lango Region During This Festive Season

Otuke, Uganda – As the festive season unfolds, George Abdul, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Otuke and leader of the Lango RDCs and RCCs, has delivered a powerful Christmas message, calling for unity, compassion, and a shared responsibility to build a better community. 

In his message, Abdul emphasized the transformative power of Christmas as a time to reflect on love and humanity.

“The message of peace, love and care is more crucial now than ever,” he stated. “This season should remind us of our shared responsibility to alleviate suffering and create a brighter future for everyone.” 

Abdul took the opportunity to applaud the remarkable contributions of health workers, teachers and security personnel in the region.

He described their efforts as a cornerstone of community progress, despite the challenges they face.

“You’ve gone beyond financial rewards to ensure the well-being of our people. For that, we are eternally grateful,” he said. 

Abdul expressed a special message of hope and resilience for those facing adversities, urging the community to extend a helping hand to those in need.

“Christmas should be a time of comfort for everyone, especially for those battling illness, loss, or other struggles,” he remarked. 

Turning his attention to families, Abdul called for strengthened family bonds and responsible parenting.

“Let this season be a time to create joyful memories with our children and families. They are the foundation of our future,” he emphasized. 

He also called on residents to carry the spirit of the season into their daily lives, encouraging unity and selflessness as guiding principles for the coming year.
