Amolatar – In a remarkable display of community spirit and social responsibility, the Amolatar District University Students’ Association (ADUSA) has embarked on an ambitious outreach program aimed at fostering education, health, and overall community development.
The initiative, which commenced on June 24, 2024, has already made significant strides in several sub-counties, bringing hope and motivation to numerous young students, hospital patients, and community members.
The ADUSA outreach program targets primary schools, secondary schools, and hospitals across the district, with a focus on: motivating young students to remain in school and pursue their academic goals, reducing dropout rates caused by early pregnancy and peer pressure and providing comfort, spiritual support, and emotional guidance to hospital patients.
So far, the sub-counties of Arwotcek, Abeja, Etam, Awelo, Aputi, and Akwon have benefited from this initiative, with plans to expand to the remaining areas of Namasal, Nalibwoyo, Muntu, Agwingiri, Agidak, and Amolatar Town Council.
The outreach team has visited numerous primary and secondary schools, delivering motivational talks, engaging in counseling sessions, and providing spiritual and emotional support. Specific locations visited include: Primary Schools: Arwotcek P.7, Akol P.7, Abeja P.7, Abwong P.7, Awelo P.7, Anamwany P.7, Anamido P.7, Akwon P.7, Aputi P.7, Amai P.7, Alpha Boarding School Adonyimo P.7, Secondary Schools and Hospitals
The ADUSA outreach program has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm and gratitude from the community, with many expressing hope and appreciation for the students’ dedication and commitment.
