Dokolo, Uganda – Five suspects have so far been arrested while three others have been remanded at Dokolo government prison koroto over the allegation of breaking through Dokolo District offices and stealing ten computers equipment.
Babra Akech the resident district commissioner of Dokolo while speaking to the press on Wednesday 19 February, 2025 said the three who were arrested by police on Tuesday 18 Feb 2025 are still being kept at Dokolo central police station as investigations are ongoing.
Akech noted that the thugs have so far stollen 2 computers from Audit department, 2 from planning unit and 6 computers were stolen from finance in a spate of one month.
Godfrey Ogwang Okello,the Chief administrative officer of Dokolo said that he is stressed about the incident yet the district has been facilitating police department to guard the district head quarter on top of presence of CCTV camera which is installed at the district head quarter.
James Otoo Apili,the district chairperson said the district now plans to recruit local security personnels to guard the district because police have failed to performs their roles.
