Mulalu Declares Bid for Ngariam Seat, Vows to Uphold NRM Ideals

Katakwi, Uganda | The Private Secretary in charge of Political Mobilization to President Yoweri Museveni, Daniel Mulalu, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ngariam County seat in the upcoming NRM party primaries.

Mulalu, who also heads the Kazi Ni Kazi Foundation, said his decision follows months of grassroots consultation.

He dismissed claims that he planned to run as an independent, maintaining his loyalty to the ruling National Resistance Movement.

In an exclusive interview, Mulalu emphasized that his campaign is people-driven and built on a record of service and youth empowerment.

He cited his work in Teso and Karamoja under the Office of the President and his mobilization role since 2011 as a foundation for his bid.

Mulalu said he received clearance from the President to resign and join the race, adding that his focus will remain on community transformation, youth employment, and peaceful politics.

He also issued a stern warning to his political opponents, accusing some of engaging in propaganda and attempts to divide voters through misinformation.

He urged a campaign based on issues, not insults.

The youthful mobilizer will face tough competition in the primaries, including incumbent MP Peter Ogwang and State House official Augustine Otuko.

Despite this, Mulalu expressed confidence in his grassroots support, pointing to strong showings in the recent party structure elections across Katakwi.

Mulalu’s campaign is anchored in his Kazi Ni Kazi philosophy promoting work, dignity, and opportunity which he says has already won the hearts of many, especially young people.
