Olobo Odur, Son of Yosam Odur Ebii, Declares Bid for Apac LCV Chairperson

Apac, Uganda – Anthony Olobo Odur, the son of  Muzee Yosam Odur Ebii, has officially declared his intention to contest for the LCV Chairperson seat in Apac District in the 2026 general elections.

With a personal journey shaped by sacrifice and endurance, Olobo Odur says he is stepping forward with a vision rooted in truth, justice, and development.

Describing his manifesto as more than just promises, Olobo Odur called it a “solemn covenant” with the people of Apac.

Having faced the trials of prison, exile and the long struggle for freedom and dignity, he believes only good governance, constitutionalism and selfless service can lay the foundation for sustainable development.

He envisions a peaceful, united and self-reliant Apac District where every citizen enjoys equal opportunity, justice, and dignity.

His leadership approach promises to be transparent, inclusive, and accountable, anchored in the values of human rights, the rule of law and community empowerment.

Anthony Olobo Odur’s declaration adds weight to what is expected to be a high-stakes race for Apac’s top district leadership position.

He will face off with Ambrose Agec, son of the late NRM District Chairperson Sam Opio Oceng, in the party primaries and will later take on the incumbent Hon. Odongo Asanti, who currently holds the LCV seat.

Olobo Odur’s campaign is anticipated to rally support from those seeking ethical and visionary leadership, especially given his lineage and legacy as the son of Yosam Odur Ebii.

His leadership pledge includes a strong focus on agriculture, youth empowerment, infrastructure and inclusive development, as he aims to restore hope and build a better future for Apac.
