Lira City, July 20, 2024In a historic display of unity and solidarity, the Clan Heads from Kole District gathered at the residence of the Paramount Chief Elect, Eng. Dr. Moses Michael Odongo Okune, in Lira City’s Senior Quarters.

The visit was a testament to the growing support and confidence in the leadership of Dr. Okune, who is set to be crowned on November 2, 2024, at Lira City’s Mayor’s Garden.

The visit was not only a gesture of gratitude but also a crucial step in preparing for the forthcoming coronation ceremony.

The Clan Heads expressed their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Okune for his resounding victory in the March 1, 2024, Wonnyaci election.

They lauded his leadership and the transformative changes he has already initiated within the Lango region since his election.

The meeting was characterized by detailed discussions on various key issues, including:

  1. Coronation Preparations: The primary focus of the meeting was the meticulous planning for the coronation event. The Clan Heads emphasized the importance of making this event a grand and memorable occasion, reflecting the cultural heritage and pride of the Lango people.
