Kwania Residents Welcome Shs222m Ambulance Donated by Ongu Tar

Kwania, Uganda | Kwania Residents express joy as they welcome the newly donated Toyota Land Cruiser Ambulance worth 222 million Uganda Shillings donated by Hon. James Ongu Tar MP Kwania North immediately after swearing in for the next five years in 12 Uganda Parliament.

Speaking to this publication after the handover ceremony of White Toyota Land Cruiser UA 807DX at LA Crime-Kira-Kampala, some of the community members in Kwania district say Politicians frequently donate ambulances to fulfill campaign promises or win local support. While the vehicle is free, the management is often left to local health centres or committees that lack stable funding for fuel and maintenance. Drivers sometimes exploit this political gap by turning a free community asset into a personal, profit-making business as it has been happening with the previous political donated ambulance.

Benson Ekwaro a resident of Bar- Agwiciri Inomo and Benson Akolo of Ogili- Alira Aduku Sub County says during the previous donation they have experience Common Forms of Ambulance Misuse among are Exorbitant Charging by Drivers demanding massive out-of-pocket fees from desperate families for fuel or “service charges” before transporting a patient, Commercial Hauling by using the emergency vehicle to transport commercial goods (e.g., charcoal, produce, or smuggled merchandise) instead of patients, Illegal Taxi Services by using the ambulance as a commuter vehicle or a private taxi to ferry non-emergency passengers to bypass traffic and Political Campaigning by utilizing the emergency government vehicle as a lead car in political processions or to paste campaign posters, which violates emergency transit rules

Rev. Peter Otim parish priest for  Apworocere, Minakulu Archdeaconry Oyam District giving his sermon to the Kwania district Delegates who had gone to witness the swearing in of Hon James Ongu Tar MP Kwania North and Tonny Eron MP Kwania County at LA Cream Hotel-Kira-Kampala call upon them to prioritize on the key developmental projects and program to better the service delivery to their electorates.

Abel Okok AKA Odongo Abel Human Resources professional & Organizational Psychologist who retired recently as Assistant Commissioner Ministry of Public Service urges politicians to be close to the electorates not only staying in big town put all their resources in the luxuries thing forgetting the ladder steps who lifted them for the five years.

Abraham Aturu Deputy Resident district Commissioner -DRDC urged Elected MPs most especially on the NRM Tickets to be close to the district Local government leaders for the better service delivery and also give their impute and advises in the nominated position in the boards and commissions so that the brushed out the previous outcry of corruption tendency that had been happening in Kwania eg District Service Commission selling jobs to the public and others.

Michael Ayipa  Jabwor County MP-Abim District-Karamoja who is serving for his third term as MP pledge to be close to Kwania district MPs most Especially Ongu Tar Kwania North MP and Tonny Eron MP Kwania County MP whom he shall be giving them all needs be in giving services to the public as a senior experienced political servant so that value for money and support resident trusted them come to real agenda to achieved vision 40 that as been set by the NRM Government.

James Ongu Tar MP  Kwaia North MP during his speech says the donation of the ambulance come at a time that very many people in the district of Kwania are yarning for the healthcare services most especially expectant mothers and children that is why he has prioritized first in his agenda as Kwania North waits for many development during this five years tenant of offices given to them.
