Sydney, Australia | Otuke East County Member of Parliament, Julius Acon Bua, on Friday, February 27th, 2026, finished second in the Master Run category of an 11km race in Sydney, Australia, earning a reward of 20 new borehole construction projects for his constituency.

He added that he will engage constituents after the marathon to identify priority projects and seek additional support from international partners to enhance local development initiatives.
Earlier this month, Acon demonstrated his commitment to education by rewarding 28 Division One candidates in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) with metallic boxes and mattresses.
He said the gesture aims to motivate learners in both private and government schools, promote unity among leaders, and improve educational standards in the district.
Acon further pledged to extend similar recognition to top performers in the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
